Before You Sign Up For Guitar Lessons, Read This!

Thank you Fender for sponsoring this post. Learn guitar at home with Fender Play!

Recently I was having an interesting chat with some of my mom friends and the topic of guitar lessons came up. Of course, the same frustrations came up like, how do we make time for it, how do you get your kids to practice, how to pay for it and the list goes on right?! I had a solution for their frustrations! I couldn’t wait to share my son’s experience to my group of besties. I was super excited to introduce them to Fender Play.

At first, I got all kinds of puzzled looks but after I started explaining all the perks of a subscription to Fender Play the more questions and comments they had. After telling them how much my teen was learning and how much he loved it over the past 6+ months, they totally couldn’t wait to hear more.

What is Fender Play?

Fender Play is a guided online learning program that teaches new guitar players to get playing in minutes. With hundreds of instructional videos and hands-on exercises, Fender Play walks new players down a learning path based on their musical preferences.  The curriculum is designed so that after a few short lessons, a player will be able to learn something new, whether it’s a skill, a recognizable riff or a full song.

Guitar Lessons For Teens The Awesome Way

I couldn’t gush enough how how much my son loves Fender Play. He actually learned things without a struggle. For some reason this is the first time in a musical sense that he could figure things out. Maybe it was because there wasn’t any pressure from a teacher or other students in a class to perform. It could also be that he’s unstressed about it. We’re not rushing from school or other activities to make it to a lesson time so he learns so much better in an no pressure environment.

Even better than that I don’t have to talk him into practicing. Because Fender Play is fun and song-based, he likes spending time trying out new songs or getting better at the ones that are already his favorites. Having this service has been such a great tool for learning guitar. My only regret is that we didn’t sign up sooner!!

I always wanted a Fender guitar. Definitely going to check out their online platform. Learning by the song would the best for me.
