Whether it’s for our favorite potluck dinner, a special occasion or just because, these cookies are a winner every time. The kids ask for these at least once a week and I have to admit, I don’t mind making these since they are so easy. They are a step above regular chocolate chip cookies and it’s amazing to see how fast they disappear.
Candy Bar Cookies
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla or vanilla extract
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 and 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup of your favorite candy bar pieces, chopped
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray two cookie sheets with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, add the butter, brown sugar and sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Next add in the corn syrup, egg and vanilla and beat on medium speed until combined.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until fully combined.
Fold in your chopped candy bar pieces just until mixed in. You’ll want to do this by hand.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely on a wire rack. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
