With all the holidays that are on their way, a sweet and delicious treat was in order. I love making donut holes because knowing exactly what is in them is such a blessing. Additionally, I can adjust the amounts of sugar for each person’s taste and preference. Most of all, I like to make these because they are AMAZING!! I hope you make them and share them with some family and friends too! We eat these as a Christmas morning tradition.

Perfect Powdered Sugar Donut Holes
INGREDIENTS (yields 20)
2 cup Flour
3/4 cup Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Milk
1/4 tsp Lemon juice or White Vinegar
2 beaten Eggs
2 tbsp melted Butter
3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
1/4 cup melted Butter
Add lemon juice to milk (buttermilk substitute).
Preheat oven to 425
Spray your Wilton Doughnut Hole Pan with your favorite nonstick cooking spray.
Combine dry donut ingredients in large bowl.
Add milk, eggs and butter.
Stir just until well mixed.
Fill each ring about to top. Make sure it tops center hole.
Bake about 8 minutes, until tops rebound when pressed.
Leave donut holes in pan for about 5 minutes.
Remove from pan and set on cooling rack.
Dip top of donut hole in melted butter.
Hold above bowl allowing excess to drip off.
Dip in plate filled with powdered sugar or place on rack on use sifter to sprinkle powdered sugar.
Return to cooling rack.
