Grilled fruit is an awesome dessert and preparing it on the NEW George Foreman Removeable-Plate Grill makes it fast, simple and delicious.
First you just need to gather a few ingredients and of course, your George Foreman grill. You will need 1 pineapple, 2 slices pound cake, six skewer sticks and six maraschino cherries. For the chocolate sauce, you will need 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips, 2/3 cup of evaporated milk, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup butter. These seven ingredients make a dessert that will make your mouth water and leave your family begging for more!
Next, rinse your pineapple and cut it into chunks. You could substitute canned pineapple chunks as well but the fresh makes this recipe really amazing!
Now you’ll want to plug in your George Foreman Grill to warm it up. Then slice the pound cake into thirds and skewer the pineapple chunks and cake onto the stick. The grill makes it so easy because there is no need to flip them over.
Just place them on the grill and let them cook for 5 minutes. They will be done when they are a light golden brown.
While the pineapple and pound cake is grilling, it’s time to prepare the chocolate sauce. Place the 1/4 cup butter in a small sauce pan and let it melt on low. Next, add the chocolate chips. When melted add the sugar and mix well. Then you’ll want to add the evaporated milk slowly. Stir until smooth.
Finally, you’ll remove the sticks from the grill, place a cherry on top and drizzle the chocolate sauce over the top. Place the leftover chocolate sauce in a bowl and add it to your platter for those people that love dipping for even more indulgence!! Enjoy!!
