Who doesn’t love a good story with great illustrations and a sweet message to top it all off? That’s exactly what you get in Mr. Bigg’s in the City by Kevin Bloomfield. A curious sasquatch named Mr. Bigg’s ventures to a nearby city, tries out many new things and looks for the fun in it all. He has many adventures that leave the readers laughing and wondering what will happen next.

The illustrations, also by Kevin, are super colorful and attention grabbing so that even a young preschooler would be glued to the story. I especially like the sidekick squirel that was along for the ride. Adorable!
I was lucky to be able to share this story with a group of kids of different ages and had great feedback from them all. One said,” I hope I never get too big.” Another said, ” where else is Mr. Biggs going to go?” Finally, the last one said, “Can you please read it again?” Music to my ears!! Mr. Bigg’s in the City definitely gets an A+ in our book!
The recommended age for this book is pre-k to 3rd grade!! What’s even better, you can purchase it in bilingual English-Spanish or English only editions. I love having options!
