A cuddly hug from your significant other. Knowing your teen has arrived home from school safely. A sloppy wet kiss from your dog. These are the sweet things that make life worth it and worth protecting. All of these things happen in your home where you think you’re safe. In a flash memories like these can be in jeopardy when your home is left vulnerable. Protect those moments and moments to come with the Nest x Yale Lock. SCROLL down for a hands on look at the lock in action!

Please note: This is a sponsored conversation on behalf of Best Buy and Nest. The opinions and text are all mine.

Have you ever wondered if you locked the door when you left? Feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up because you lost your keys? Approached the door with fear in the pit of your stomach because you didn’t remember if you locked it or not?

Nest x Yale Lock! Available Now At Best Buy

Say goodbye to those creepy feelings! All those unhappy times are a thing of the past with the Nest x Yale lock. I highly recommend you check out this connected lock for yourself at Best Buy.

This connected lock is sturdy, stylish and tamper-proof. The best thing about it is that no keys are required. You can set up to 20 pass codes for family friends or whoever needs to access your home. With Nest, you’ll have peace of mind that your loved ones are safe. It connects to wifi via Nest Connect. It still works via pass codes should you want to use it as a stand alone lock however you can’t use the app without the included Nest Connect.

Let’s talk installation. It took about 15 minutes for it to be ready to use. It wasn’t rocket science or anything. However, you don’t even need to worry about that if you let Geek Squad from Best Buy install it for you. It’s actually FREE until May 15, 2018 with purchase of the Nest x Yale Lock!! Make sure to find out more about that option!

You can monitor who comes and goes with a notification sent to your phone. Have a groomer that needs to make your pup look perfect? Let them in with their own code or from anywhere with the Nest Connect app! This is my first Nest product and so far I’m really happy with how the app works. It walks you through setting up your devices and makes it simple and easy to set pass codes for all of your family members or friends so you can know who was there, how long they were there and when they arrived and left. It also lets you unlock and lock the door from anywhere which could be awesome if anyone forgot their pass code or you needed to let someone in unexpectedly. I can’t wait to add more devices to my Nest app! Smart home upgrade here we come!

The Nest x Yale lock is powered by 4 AA batteries and it is supposed to last for months with normal use. It will warn you when the batteries are getting low so you don’t have to remember when you installed them. However if you do procrastinate on changing the batteries like I do, you can still use the connection on the bottom with a 9 volt battery to let yourself in. Whew, I love a back up.
