Turkey Cookies

SUPPLIES NEEDED
Yeilds: 1 dozen
12 regular sandwich cookies (like OREO)
12 oz bag Wilton dark cocoa melts
24 small Wilton candy eyes
M&M candies – cut in half (12 red, 6 orange, 6 yellow, 6 green, 6 blue)
Wilton orange decorator icing

DIRECTIONS
1. Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside.
2. In a medium microwave safe bowl, microwave the dark cocoa candy melts for 45 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir. Continue to microwave in 10 second increments until melted and smooth.
3. Place 2 tablespoons of the melted chocolate into the bottom of a cookie mold. Place an Oreo cookie on top of the melted chocolate.
4. Spoon additional melted chocolate on top of the Oreo cookie, up to the top of the mold.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 until all of the cookie molds are full. Chill for 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
6. Dip the 12 mini Oreos into the remaining melted chocolate and place on the baking sheet to harden. Chill for 10-20 minutes.
7. Once chilled, remove the cookie molds and baking sheet from the refrigerator. Gently pop the Oreo cookies out of their molds and place on the baking sheet next to the mini Oreos.
8. Apply white icing to the back of the mini Oreos and place directly on top of each large Oreo cookie, centering the mini cookies in the middle for the turkey face.
9. Dab a small amount of white icing to the back of the candy eyes and place 2 eyes on each mini Oreo.
10. Dab a small amount of white icing to the back of 12 red M&M candy halves and place under the eyes (at an angle) for the turkey wattle.
11. For the turkey feathers, each turkey will need half of a red, orange, yellow, green and blue M&M candy piece. Dab a small amount of white icing on the back of each piece and place on the large Oreo, above the face, evenly spaced apart.
12. With orange decorator icing, pipe the turkey feet at the bottom of each cookie.
13. ENJOY your Turkey Cookies!!
