Getting Healthy 2013: Strawberry Juicer Recipe And Results From The #MillionSteps Challenge

These days, this is what healthy looks like. It looks like a big shiny bowl of delicious strawberries. I’m feeling pretty good about that. What it doesn’t feel like: it doesn’t feel like I’m missing out or that I’m eating twigs. A couple of weeks ago I told you about getting more active and the #MillionSteps Challenge. Today I’m sharing the results with you. As of Monday, January 28th, I have walked 195,810 STEPS!! To make all this walking even sweeter, I am down 5 pounds too!!

I definitely owe part of this success to my  Cuisinart – Compact Juice Extractor. This little baby is super! I seriously cannot get enough of this thing!! Even my son begs to make juice! We have not eaten this much spinach in our whole lives. In this recipe the sweetness of the strawberries masks most of the spinach flavor so its easy to get those leafy green vegetables in your daily diet. My favorite feature of this juicer is how quietly it runs. I like to make  juice very early sometimes and its amazing how quiet this one is for a juicer. I love that I can enjoy an early morning juice-fest without waking up the whole house.

Here’s a delicious recipe to get you started!

Strawberry Juicer Recipe

10 medium strawberries

1 medium cucumber-peeled

2 cups of spinach

1 lemon-peeled

Add all of your ingredients to the juicer separately. Juice. Drink and enjoy!!

It really doesn’t get more simple than that!

Last time I discussed the Fitbit – Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale – White  too as a way to keep on top of your progress. It has been fun to actually have this scale. My husband and I have a fun competition going on with who can have the lower BMI/Body Fat percentage. Of course he’s a man so he has an advantage but I’m keeping up nicely. What he doesn’t know, is that I win either way. Either I have a great body or a hot husband. Shhh- don’t tell him that though! It has a very stylish design and it’s tempered glass exterior is easy to clean. Keeping track of your progress is a no-brainer because after you set it up, it uploads all of your data directly to your fitbit profile. If you’re looking for a scale that can provide a comprehensive view of your overall health, the Fitbit Aria Scale is it!
