The club was launched in 1990 by Bruce and Pam Boring and has become was it is today by sharing great wine to fabulous friends. Today I’m excited to share two exquisite wines with you. First, a 2009 “Seven Brothers” Napa Valley Tempranillo and second a 2008 “Seven Brothers” Lake County Sauvignon Blanc.
We enjoyed them immensely and were surprised that we even still talk about how good they were. We loved that we could share them with friends and get their feedback as well.
One of the things about great wine is that it adds that finishing touch to a meal that make it even more memorable. We have another get together set for December to try that month’s offerings. Wine provides a great conversation topic and a way to indulge without a big hit to your wallet.
If you are thinking about an upcoming holiday gift for that special loved one that needs something awesome this year, why not consider a California Wine Club gift. You can choose the number of months and you never know, you might get invited to enjoy them with your friends. It’s really the gift that keeps on giving, long after the holiday season has passed.
More about the wines:
The Tempranillo is a bright ruby color with heavy aromas of cranberry, blackberry, cinnamon and spice and toasted oak. The flavors of dried black fruit toasted cedar and tobacco mingle with great acidity and strong tannins to produce a long , rich finish.
The Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of honeysuckle and mango that waft from your glass. On the palate, green tea, citrus and lemongrass make this white a rich, complex companion to food, great for quaffing too.
