As a mom, my health is a top priority to me to keep my household running smoothly and to be a good example for my kids. It is also a goal I have since I decided to work from home. I have begun a regimen of green smoothies to start the journey toward a more healthier me. I have really never before been a big fan of the leafy green vegetables, so this is a way to incorporate them, painlessly. I cant even taste the spinach that I include in my morning smoothie! So amazing, and its funny how the kids practically beg me to make them one too.
Here’s what I put in my blender to get my day started with a bang:
1/2 cup Almond Milk
1 cup Blueberries
1 cup spinach
1 cup ice
Now all you have to do is liquefy and enjoy!! Great for an on the run breakfast. Feel free to enjoy a variety of fruits and veggies as they are available. The sweetness of the fruits overrides most of the veggie flavors, yummy and unbelievable!!
To up the wellness quotient even more, I was also given the opportunity to try Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic, a digestive health care supplement. I had heard so many good things about probiotics so I jumped at the chance to try them. Probiotics are bacteria that help maintain a healthy digestive system which is something I sure could use help with. I have the usual bloating and fatigue that goes a long with being a busy mom and not always having time for a healthy sit down meal. I am just beginning this supplement so I will follow up with a second post in a week or two when I know more about how they work for me, my overall well-being and additional benefits.
If you are interested in joining me in this better health journey, you can find them at Sam’s Club. Furthermore, there will be several twitter parties where you can win Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic, or gift cards. I will be posting the details as they become available. Wahoo! Healthy ROCKS!!
UPDATE * The Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic Twitter Party will be Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 9:00PM EST!*
