Chiquita is all around Chicago celebrating mini-victories with their Chiquita crushed fruit snack this spring and summer. I crushed it this week!! Here’s my story!!
When I get to be involved in a charity event, I always jump at the chance. This week my friend Melisa Wells was launching her new book and a part of the event was to bring a donation to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. After looking at their wish list of needed items, I decided to pick up some paper towels. The kids and I jumped in the car and went on a mission to get the most donation bang for our buck. We found a great deal at a local drugstore and proceeded to load up our carts to overflowing with our paper towel donation. We got 40 rolls!! We were ecstatic!! The kids were smiling from ear to ear knowing that this will help out others while their children are on their road to recovery. I definitely CRUSHED it this week! I helped out others in need while teaching my children that giving is a necessary, fun part of life.
On our way to Chicago, we stopped for a little snack and the kids were so inspired by our previous day’s shopping trip that they asked if we could throw in 6 rolls of toilet paper to go along with our other donation. My heart just melted. We had a great time at the event. See more of our shopping trip at the link below:
